Critic blog at the LICHTER Filmfest
During the LICHTER Filmfestival from 28TH MARCH 2017 TO 2ND APRIL 2017, we will provide the opportunity to participate in a six-day intensive workshop on film criticism for the fourth time. Under the guidance of the prominent film critic BERT REBHANDL, participants gain insights into journalistic practice and have the opportunity to contribute their own film critical work.
“A film festival generates in itself film critical writing: You watch a film, exchange ideas, reflect and draw comparisons. And immediately one is in the midst of this activity, which we call criticism,” says BERT REBHANDL. “From there to an expressly film-critical text it is indeed a long way. The Film Critic Workshop provides the first step in this direction.”
Together with film critics BERT REBHANDL and TOBY ASHRAF, the participants will acquire the basic skills of film critique, write and discuss reviews that appear daily on the critic blog.
